From the Heart

This was what i did for Hardy for our 2nd anniversary. a scrapbook kindda card. i've decided to take up scrapbooking after my last visit to hobbycraft coventry. it is quite an expensive hobby, with all the emblishments and types of papers that the market has to offer but i'm up for it. saving bit by bit and i try to use most scraps without having to buy them.

This is an example of a true scrapbooking. i used all scraps, leftover bits of papers, borders, cut outs and some free samples. i trully love the colour combination as it was not too feminine. blue and brown are certainly a handsome pair!

I put up 3 pieces of papers, and each represents the stages that we went through to get to today - the dating period, the wedding day itself and now, a life as husband and wife, after 2 years. rescalled down some of our photos and printed those tiny pictures up.

And this was where he hung it. on the wall of our anniversary present (no it's not just a corkboard). we both gave each other something special this year (to compensate our 1st year anniversary). but with all sincerity, anniversaries shoudlnt be all about expensive presents and a huge card. its all about what comes from the heart! agree?

He gave me something he did in return. it was just way too overwhelming...

Hello Zaza, I love your this idea, so innovative and really something to be proud of as it is made with your love, made from your heart and that is better than some from a store.
By the way, you ada free, drop in for coffee and kueh dada.
Keep well, Zaza, Lee.

emly: that's the best compliment anyone could ever wish for emly. thank you ever so much my dear! you're always so sweet. and thanks for the anniversary wish too. now... get back to work!! hehe. have a lovely day at work!

anzed: thank you my dear. 5th? my oh my! when's the date? does iz fancy a handmade card? perhaps you've already given him what he wants ;) just look at you guys! living happily and hope it will last ever after!

wiz: not as nice as ALL your cakes! wiz, sibok now la, hardly online on ym, i'm back to doing all the chores and playing with aidan! how are you doing with all the orders?

ajzie: thank you so much. the thing with me is, i have to hold the papers, scissors, glue and whatever of that sort at least once a day. its the thrill of cutting and pasting them that's what i'm into. i've seen a lot of digital ones and they are ever so pretty! the best thing about digital scrapbooking is it doesnt cost much, some even free. perhaps i should give it a go if this one fail or when my pocket has a big huge hole!

anis: you're always too kind with your words anis. thank you! yes scrapbooking is expensive, but i think the whole idea of scrapbooking has gone onto another level - another level that requires one to spend more on collecting scraps. previoustly it was just bits and pieces of this and that. but one simply cant help it. digital scrapbooking is the best option if you dont want to spend that much on a hobby. but my hands simply cant stay away from glue, papers and scissors!

u.lee: this was definitely made with love with a capital L! i'll drop by for coffee tonight k? and what's kuih dada?

tw: you ahh.. always puji puji make me blush oni!! thank you wharf!

ddah: 2 years?! whoaaa! i am so not good in scrapbooking! look! i think i tend to put too much.what do you think? you'd probably do much much better! ;) what scrapbook are you currently making ddah? hope i'll enjoy scrapbooking as much as you do!

jo ayee: jo, i think it looks chic because of the colour! blue and brown! next time you bake a cake, try to combine the two colours! i bet it'll look classy as well!

mrika: thank you mrika. i feel passionate about craft and crafty things. love working with papers, scissors and glue! (cant sew) and i can see someone has the same interest too! ;) thanks for visiting and i'll do the same!
