3 Beauties

I'm always on the look out for boxes, i just cant get enough of them. and somehow i always find good bargains when we're in the UK. there's just plenty to spoil myself silly! i found these 3 at a shop in Coventry. as soon as i spotted them, in my heart, i knew i just had to have them! but my head was telling me that i've spent too much already, i've exceeded my shopping quota. eventhough they were a bargain! and then i've started asking myself, whether i really NEED them. so i just stood there, infront of the shelves, with 2 voices in my head - get them, or give them a miss (who knows, there'll be more elsewhere when i can afford them).

After a good 15 mins staring at them, i then came to my senses. i decided to bid them farewell and leave the 3 beauties behind. little that i know my brother in law Redza was staring at me and the boxes, and as soon as i walked away, he then took them off the shelves, with the intention of getting them for me. before he even reached half way, my mum saw the boxes and took them from him and went and paid. got back to my my sister Fifi's house, mum handed me those boxes - "something for adek", she said.

If only i can give them more than what they've given me. if only they know how much they're appreciated and loved, if only i can make all their wish(s) come true... i know they are just boxes, but its something that i really love, and somehow they just know the things that will make me smile through the whole month! thankful, grateful, as always.

So, there it is, my 3 beauties, on my new craft table my dear husband Hardy made me on our 2nd anniversary. such beautiful colours, such simple boxes, such thoughtful people, such a joy to be having them on my new desk!!!!

Paper Mache Boxes

Frequent readers of mine would know by now that i collect boxes. i love them. i have quite a few of them, i use them as my storage boxes to store all my arty crafty bits. i was out shopping the other day and i saw these two.

They are actually paper mache boxes. paper mache is actually quite an easy craft. a bit messy but a fun thing to do. be prepared to stick your hands into those wet sticky papers, glue and starch! and it'll probably take days for it to be all dried up and ready. but the end result will be all good. the last time i did paper mache was when i was teaching at a preschool some years back. the kids loved it.

The thing that attracted me about these two boxes was of course the colour, my kindda colour - pastel and their sticker in front of the boxes. they are absolutely sweet and as often the case when i buy something new, and especially at a bargain, and i'm all in love with them, i'd put them on my side table, next to my bed, so that i can look at them and smile when i go to bed! :)

Doosje

I love all kinds of boxes. at one point i even collect shoeboxes - the really good ones. there are simply too many nice wrapping paper these days, you'll get attracted to them easily eventhogh you have no presents to wrap! what i do is i'd wrap the shoeboxes up with those nice wrappers and store my old photos and cards, whatever you fancy. most of my boxes are back at home now, but i'm starting to collect them again.

This is currently my gem. saw them at "blokker" and i just had to get them! i think i have 7 or 8 of them, with different sizes. who knows, they might come handy one day. i'm currently using them to store my ribbons, my flowers, my coloured papers and cards, all my itsy bitsy things.

The things i collect!!

Rozen

I dont really like roses but lately, i'm into them. we've got tonnes of species here. we go to the market in geleen almost every saturday. that's where i get my fresh flowers for the house. you'll be amazed with the varieties and colours!

Anyway, i'm collecting these - my vintage rose collection. looks rustic, sweet and romantic!

I've just realised that have too much of them. thus, i'm planning to sell them at ebay. but just before i do that, i'd want to put some pictures up in here. i simply love them, but after a long consideration, i'm ready to sell 'em off (havent work out on the pricing yet though).

I need to create an account on ebay first! please dear husband help me..

What do you think of them?
