Dank U Astrid en Peter!

I wanted to thank Astrid and Peter for everything they've done for us a year ago. These 2 people are very very special and dear to us. they have helped us so much last year, during the period of the renovation of our current house.

I wanted to thank them for everything that they did, i wanted them to know that we remembered their kind gestures, kind help and kind thoughts. so i made them a card, a thank you card, the least i could do to remember what they did for us.

I try not to buy cards at the shops because i've always believed that it's nicer to receive something handmade, made by you, yourself. something personal. you can do so much with it, adding your own personal touch. i sometimes struggle a bit with words, a setback for me. sometimes when i hardly have the time to actually sit down and actually compose and create, yes, i do run to the shops to get those ones on the shelves, they have good ones these days, but the ones we have here are all in dutch! (another struggle for me when buying cards in dutch! i can only understand 1/3 of it!)

It took me less than 10 mins to actually make the card. not long at all when you have everything in front of you. it would probably take me around 25 mins to walk to town, an hour to scout for a good thank you card, and the damage would probably be a good 50euros or so spending it on something else.. so in this case, i saved a lot!

You will need very few things to make your own card. depending on how elaborate you want them to be. the simpler the card is, the better, to me at least. especially when you have a bold motives on the paper, you wont be needing anything else but a good ribbon just to hook them, all the pieces up.

So, here's to Astrid and Peter, dank u well!

Zaza ... you are not only good at crafting but have great color sense. I may have suggested before - how about venturing into business? A home-based one, nothing like earning some pocket $$ by doing something you enjoy. I am SO looking forward to my Xmas card from Holland this year ... HAHA!

rita: i absolutely enjoy doing all these, but to actually earn money out of doing them, i dont think i have that much confidence in myself! would love to set out something but honestly dont know how!

i am gonna start my christmas cards next month and yours will be on top of my list ;)

mat g: alla mat, buat ni pon cikai cikai je...

jo ayee: ramai yang lagi creative, i'm pretty sure! my supplies doesnt cost much actually, i'm quite thrifty in that sense that i dont buy things over 10euros! unless they're really worth it. i love bargains! i hunt for them almost everywhere!

tw: i am a boring person actually, i dare not choose bold colours, i love pastel!

mia: i hope so!!

Zaza ... I believe that your love to set up a business that focuses on something you enjoy doing is half the battle won. Extensive research and a well thought through business plan are your next steps. I'm not sure what the trend of home businesses is in Holland but I know that most of the successful ones here started out by the owners doing what they do best and enjoy doing. :)

rita: there should be more people like you in this world! you are such an encouragement! so positive! the reason why i decided not to persue law was mainly beacause of this. it all started as a hobby. i believe its all about passion! and i totally, utterly love doing all these. will definitely do my research on home business in holland. and if one day i get all rich and famous (ye la tu!), i wont forget about you and you'll get my services for free!! ;)
